Who we are
Tecno Spray Srl was founded in 2001 with the aim of becoming a leading company in the supplying of equipment and consumables for the thermal spray technology.
Customers can today appreciate the convenience of Tecno Spray's integrated assistance service, which offers an all-in-one solution, from the supplying of spare parts on emergencies - given a complete range of components and materials in stock and ready for delivery - up to the direct technical assistance and the process consultancy.
Metallizing
The UNI EN ISO 14917:2017 standard "Thermal spraying - Terminology and classification", defines the Thermal Spray process as the "Process in which surfacing materials are heated to the plastic or molten state, inside or outside a spraying gun/torch and then propelled onto a prepared surface”.
This technology, also known as metallizing or cold spraying, is therefore a coating process industrially used to apply a variety of materials on the surface - substrate - of mechanical parts of machines or industrial plants, so to improve the metallurgical characteristics of the surface layers (e.g. the increase in hardness, resistance to wear or corrosion; the reduction of thermal conductivity), with the ultimate goal of extending their service life.
The "feedstock" (coating precursor/materials) are mostly metals, alloys, ceramics, carbides, or composites and are usually fed in powder or wire form.
Coating takes place in different ways according to the type of systems used.
